This is a website for the campaign to build a Vocational Institute in Aweil, South Sudan. After years of civil war, the independent state of South Sudan must now confront a heavily damaged infratructure especially in the critical area of education. Kuc Majak, a native of South Sudan and a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Rochester NY has begun an effort to build a badly needed vocational school in his home town of Aweil.

When Achay Dau visited Aweil, South Sudan, she saw first hand the plight of children abandoned on the streets.  This shows in graphic detail the need for the vocational school.

The following is an exerpt from a longer video presenting the inauguration of the newly constructed school. The complete video is 23 minutes long and can be viewed on YouTube by clicking here.
